In case you haven’t heard, much of the Mid-South experience major flooding this past weekend. Many people lost their homes and all of their belongings. This has brought out the good in people as they are helping the victims by donating clothes, giving them meals, providing rides, etc…but it has also brought out the ugly. Yes, there are scammers out there who are preying on these people who have nothing left. Advice- do NOT give anyone money up front to repair your home. Check their references. Call the BBB. Check their license and insurance information with the state.
Be knowledgeable about how legitimate contractors operate and safe yourself a lot of time and money.
